Meet Rebecca

Welcome! I'm Rebecca Vivash, counsellor, clinical supervisor and consultant.

Counselling is more than a profession for me, it’s personal, meaningful, and deeply rooted in both experience and empathy.

With over a decade of experience in therapy, I bring not just professional expertise, but lived understanding. Like many of the people I now support, I know what it’s like to live with crippling anxiety, to navigate the lasting impact of emotional abuse, and to carry the invisible weight of ADHD, always feeling “too much” or “not enough.” These experiences shaped my early life and gave me a profound understanding of what it means to feel disconnected from yourself.

Trusted voice in mental health

For years, I stayed in a career that didn’t fulfil me, believing I wasn’t capable of more. It wasn’t until I sat with a therapist who truly saw me that I began to unravel those beliefs and reconnect with who I really was beneath the coping.

That experience changed my direction completely.

Through my own healing, I rediscovered the qualities that now define my work - compassion, intuition, warmth, and deep empathy. These guide every session I offer, creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and gently supported.

Professionally, I’ve had the privilege of working in a range of settings,  from a specialist trauma centre, to the public and corporate sectors, and as a supervisor for a leading Northamptonshire wellbeing charity. I also run a thriving online community of over 3,500 trainee and newly qualified counsellors, offering mentorship and support in those early, uncertain stages of becoming a therapist.

Today, in my private practice, I weave together clinical knowledge, personal insight, and a trauma-informed, relational approach to help others find their way back to self-trust, emotional clarity, and inner safety.

Beyond my clinical work, I am passionate about raising awareness of emotional wellbeing. I have been interviewed by several national media platforms on anxiety, codependency, and emotional abuse, and I’ve contributed articles for our leading professional body, helping to educate and support both individuals and fellow professionals in the field
